SCHOLARSHIP
APPLICATION

 

 

The Award:

 

The Bayonne School Employees FCU scholarship is an award of $1000.00 which will be paid to the winning two students.

 

Eligibility:

 

The applicant must be:

  • a dependent of a member in good standing for at least one year
  • enrolled as a high school senior at the time of application

 

Scholarship funds must be used:

  • for tuition or textbooks
  • only at an accredited educational institution

 

Application Process:

 

Eligible students must complete this scholarship application. A student may submit only one application.

 

  1. The application must be signed by the applicant (student) and a parent/guardian.
  2. The signed application must have the following attached:
    1. An official high school transcript
    2. An SAT/ACT transcript provided through your high school guidance office
    3. The teacher reference portion of the application must be completed by an applicant’s teacher and returned in a signed sealed envelope.
    4. 500 – 700 word essay
  3. Return the application and transcript forms with the reference letter to the Credit Union Office located on the second floor of Bayonne High School opposite Room 202.

 

Selection Process:

 

Judging will be based on both subjective criteria such as essays, and weighted objective criteria such as academic performance, extracurricular and community activities, references and personal goals. The Credit Union Scholarship Committee will notify the scholarship winners by June 1, 2008

 

Application Deadline:

 

Students must return applications to the Credit Union office on or before May 1, 2008.
