    PE Classes - All 7th period PE classes should report to the Main Gym today.
     
    PE Reminder! -  The 2nd Marking Period begins Friday, 11/15. All 10th, 11th, and 12th graders should report to their 2nd marking period elective tomorrow, 11/15
     
    Boys Basketball - All bits trying out for the boys Basketball Team must have a valid athletic physical submitted to their house nurse and also must be registered online for basketball no later than Thursday, 11/21. Boys in 9th grade must report to the tech gym on Monday, 11/25 at 3pm for try-outs. Boys in grades 10,11, and 12 must report to the main gym at 3pm on Monday, 11/25. Any questions, please see Mr. Russell in the ice rink gym during 0 period.
     
    Class of 2023 - Attention Freshmen - Your latest fundraiser in in!  Pick up your Avon catalog in Room 101 or 217 and start selling today!

Please come by the ice rink and join in the fun. We will be there every Wednesday through Friday from 3-5pm. Hope to see you there.

Participants will learn self-defense techniques, improve physical conditioning, improve body flexibility, learn how to punch and kick, and how to generate power.     Today's carpentry trip to Edison has been cancelled. All students should report to their scheduled classes. Again, today's carpentry class has been canceled.

    Congratulations to Bayonne's 3 Robotics teams, 3774, 4890 and the new team 16557. At their first season competition yesterday all three were named among the top 3 finalists for judged awards, and 3774 won the Rockwell Collins award for engineering design.  Team 4890 was invited to join an alliance with one of the top finishing teams to advance to semi-final and final rounds, and their alliance was the winner for the day.

    Girls Volleyball - Today the Girls Volleyball Team plays East Orange in a play in match in the state tournament. Game time is 4:30 in the main gym.  Come cheer the spiking Bees to victory!
     
    Seniors - Graduation Photo RETAKES -Sign up sheets for graduation photo RETAKES are posted outside Room 121. If you want a RETAKE only, please sign up by today, 11/1. There is a $10 fee for retakes. If you missed your photo, you do not need to sign up. You will get a new appointment automatically.

    Congratulations to the Boys Soccer Seniors: Juan Barrientos ended the season with 4 goals and 4 assists, Alexy Cruz ended the season with 161 saves and one goal, and team Captain Francois Rodas ended the season with 11 goals and 2 assists. Coach Norton and Coach Ian are proud to announce that these three players made First-Team All-County.

Your contributions will directly benefit families during the holidays.     Science Club - Have some pre-Halloween fun with the cool and sublime Science Club doing some spooky science with dry ice! Mon, 10/28 in Room 6352 immediately after school.
     
    80 Bayonne High School students were chosen, based on written performance pieces, to attend Gilder Lehrmans's Hamilton Education Program, which includes a q&a with the Hamilton cast and a matinee show on October 30th. Each school attending chose one performance to potentially be performed on stage. Congratulations to Gabriella Megale and Carl Blasa, who have been chosen to perform their original piece on stage at the Richard Rogers theatre on October 30th! They will perform in front of a packed theatre and the cast, and then will be seated in the front row of the orchestra during the show!
    *They also wrote and performed the music! 🎶

    Congratulations to the BHS Marching Band! The band took the 1st place trophy at their competition at Robbinsville this weekend. They also won captions for best visual effect, best overall effect, best color guad, and best percussion. The band will compete in the state championships at Rowan University on Sunday, 10/27.

    Forensic Science Club - meets every Wednesday after school in Room 5334. Forensic science starts from the crime scene. Students will learn various techniques of how to collect, evaluate, and analyze evidence including fingerprints, hair, fibers, blood, etc.

Then come try out for an extracurricular activity you will love! The BHS Mock Trial team is now holding tryouts! If you join the team, practices will be Saturday mornings in the Ice Rink, at 10am, starting 10/12
