Ability to Learn –– Your child’s ability to learn in school is related to his/her physical and emotional well-being. Learning difficulties may develop early in the child’s school experience if he/she has had medical, emotional or developmental problems which have not been recognized and cared for. If the parents of the child who is beginning school call these problems to the attention of the school medical personnel or the family physician, it is possible that the problems could be remedied and so the chances for the child to develop a learning problem may be considerably lessened.
