CURRICULUM STANDARDS

The Bayonne School District embraces STEM education. The Science Department curriculum and pacing guides K - 12 is reviewed and revised yearly by a team of K - 12 science teachers. Additionally, principals support various collaborative STEM based initiatives district wide such as STEM Month Activities, Earth Day Celebrations, district wide STEM Challenges, and community partnerships. There is joint professional development and planning across grade levels K - 12 that focuses on effectively integrating the Science and Engineering Practices into K - 12 Instruction, Differentiation in the Science Classroom, and teaching Science in 3 Dimensions.
