Director's Monthly Memo

“Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.”

    -Steve Jobs-

As Thanksgiving approaches I think it is important to pause and take stock of the things in your life that you have to be thankful for. For my part one thing I am thankful for is the outstanding group of educators I have the privilege to lead each day as Director of Fine & Performing Arts and Business Education. The educators in Bayonne are among the finest in the state and I cannot say enough about them.

That said this month I want to encourage students when planning their next step after high school to carefully consider what truly drives, excites, and motivates them before selecting a college or career. What Steve Jobs said rings true for me and I encourage students to take heed of what Mr. Jobs said and seek a career that you can be thankful to have each day. You will never regret the decisions that you make if you are truly doing what you love.

Have a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving.

Tim Craig, Director of Fine & Performing Arts & Business Education
