Attendance

Yes! Parents and Guardians must contact their child's teacher prior to the start of school on any day a child will be absent.  Communication can be via email, classroom app (eg. Class Dojo), or a phone call may be made to the main office.

"District Acknowledged" absences will be used in place of "excused" absences.  These absences will not count against a staudent for truancy.  However, they will be considered for chronic absenteeism, retention, loss of credit, etc.

Students who are absent from school for medical illness must present medical documentation of the date of return to school.

Board Policy 5200 and Board Regulation 5200 can be found on the district website.
