William Gawor Perpetual Scholarship
STEM Scholarship Opportunity for Grade 12 Students
Students in Grade 12 who plan to pursue a major in a STEM field are encouraged to apply for the William Gawor Perpetual Scholarship. See information below for more details!
Award Information: (from the WG application website)
- Up to twelve awards of $5,000 each will be granted-six per school.
- Awards are renewable up to three years or until a bachelor’s degree is earned, whichever comes first, on the basis of satisfactory academic performance (maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale).
- Awards are for undergraduate studies only.
The application window closes and applications are due no later than April 21, 2023 at 3pm Central Time!
Online recommendation forms are due no later than April 28, 2023 at 3PM, Central Time!

Earth Day Clean Up 2023!
Join the Department of Public Works, Mayor James M. Davis and the Municipal City Council for the annual "Bayonne Earth Day Clean Up 2023!" The City of Bayonne is looking for volunteer clean up teams and individuals to come together as a community to keep Bayonne clean and beautiful on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. To sign up, fill out the "Sign-Up Form" and return it to Kaitlyn McNulty at CleanBayonne@baynj.org.
For those who volunteer, there will be a celebration to follow at the Lower Level of 16th Street Park from 12:30PM - 2:30PM.

The Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP), funded by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), helps low-income households pay for broadband service and internet-connected devices. Up to $30 per month may be applied to an individual’s local internet service provider. In addition, a one-time discount of up to $100 for a laptop, tablet, or desktop computer.
